MEET THE MAKER
Sir Terry Frost RA (1915-2003)
One of the leading British artists of the 20th Century, Terry Frost was taught by Ben Nicholson at Camberwell School of Art and later became an assistant to Barbara Hepworth. Settling in Cornwall, he became a leading figure in the St Ives artistic community, becoming known for his bold abstract compositions using simple geometric shapes and vibrant use of colour in which he found endless inspiration throughout his career.
