For those of you who are new to us, we'd like to tell a little bit about how Catesby’s began...
Our business was born in 2011 when we set up shop in the panelled rooms of Catesby Court, our previous Georgian home on the North Norfolk coast. The online store quickly followed, enabling us to share our collection of beautiful, useful and original items for the home and garden with customers throughout the UK, and beyond.
Inspired by time spent living and working in Paris, we love to mix muted colours and elegant designs to create a distinctive look that is both timeless and effortlessly elegant. Neutral tones and natural materials abound, making it easy to choose pieces that work well together, and will instantly feel at home in any setting.
In Spring 2014, we had the chance to move to Cambridge when 10 Green Street, a 17th Century building in the heart of the city became available. When we saw the panelled interior complete with Adam fireplace, we just knew we'd found our new home.
We believe that your home should be a tranquil, relaxing retreat from the outside world, and we strive to find pieces (and makers) with a story to tell, creating things that you’ll enjoy for years to come.
