MEET THE MAKER
Paul Mount (1922-2009)
Better known for his sinuous modernist sculptures, Paul Mount lived and worked in Cornwall from the 1960s, the era of Barbara Hepworth, Denis Mitchell and John Milne. Inspired by time spent in Africa, the rugged Cornish landscape and all things mechanical, his geometric, abstract paintings harmoniously blend these influences in a fresh and original way.
